//Sometimes in our relationship with God, we can become so content in our walk with Him that we forget about the rest of the world that doesn’t know Him.
I for one am so guilty of this.
Let’s be honest. It’s way simpler to live in a world with a population of one person- me.
Yet, when we take a look at God’s heart, it’s never just been about one person, one people group, one nation, a select few… It’s always been about the nations. Every tribe, every type, every one.
God’s heart is global.
Even before Jesus came, God spoke a promise to Abraham concerning Him,
“Indeed I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your seed shall possess the gate of their enemies. In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.” Genesis 22:17-18.
This blessing foreshadowed the reality that God’s heart was for all nations around the world to be blessed by Him. More specifically, the blessing was for nations to be blessed by his seed.
If you look through Abraham’s genealogy, Jesus comes from Abraham’s descendants. He is the ultimate blessing to the world. He is the hope of the World. And as His kids, we have the opportunity to show people around the globe who HE is.
I don’t know about you, but being global minded is something that doesn’t come naturally. However, as we walk with God and seek to become like Him, may we grow in likeness not just in his character, but in His heart for the globe.
God’s heart is global. //
